Korea veterans are honored at the center of the city

At the very center of Mt Pleasant is a flag plaza and a large, dark, marble monument. Etched upon the monument are the battle locations and statistics of a war that killed over 54,000 Americans and left another 8,100 soldiers missing. Most Korea Conflict monuments seem to be this way; dark, foreboding, almost a mystery of presentation. When you ponder it, it's just like that war . . .
