Our heroes of The Confederacy
To our valiant fathers;- Champions of reconciliation with justice, of union with manhood, of peach with honor, they
fought with faithfulness, labord with cheerfulness, and suffered in silence.
To our heroic mothers;- Spartan in devotion, Teuton in sacrifice, in patience superior to either, and in modesty and
grace matchless among womanhood."
"This monument is to honor all of the men and women of Jackson County who served honorably in the Armed Forces
of The United States and in memory who gave their lives for their country
This 24th day of May 1986"
November 11, 2007"
Location! Location! Location!!! This is a beautiful setting. Standing at the foot of the hill looking up is certain to make every American proud when the flag flies so far above. And from the top of the hill looking past the CSA memorial to the village and foothills beyond - it's simply breathtaking!
There are three memorials here; at the bottom of the hill, midway, and at the very top.
