WW II Honor Roll Memorial
High School, NJ-49
Bridgetons, Cumberland County

"They gave their today for our tomorow"

"In solomn tribute to the youth of Bridgeton who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II"

This is one of the few memorials that has a Merchant Marine seal engraved upon it. The memorial stands not far from the site of a battle of the American Revolution. While it was technically a victory for the Continental forces under the command of Colonel Asher Holmes, between 30 and 40 Patriots died against the British losses of just one wounded man.
