Several memorials stand in this park
Sullivan Square Park
Downtown, OH-147 near US-250
Cambridge, Belmont County

"Dedicated to the memory of the men from Guernsey County who served in the defense of their country in The War of The Rebellion
1861-1865 "

"Dedicated to those men and women of Guernsey County who served their country in times of war and peace"

"In memory of persons from Guernsey County, Ohio, who gave their lives in Southeast Asia during the period of the VietNam conflict"

"In honor of those who served in Operation Desert Storm"

This memorial area was alive with a farmers market and street fair when I visited. There were more inscriptions on the Civil War memorial, but the position of the figures in front of the inscriptions made it impossible to read or even photograph them.

It's interesting to see how political correctness has had an obvious impact upon the dedication sentiments here in Guernsey County. The Civil War memorial honors the men who fought. A post World War II monument mentions the men and women. The VietNam era refers to 'persons' and the Desert Storm monument avoids the issue of gender completely and just refers to 'those' who served.
